I have always been interested in connections. In portraiture, most interesting is the sustained intimacy
with another person, the experience between us, and then the viewer’s interaction with the image. It’s different from looking “at”
the subject. I turned to still-life during the pandemic, in isolation, and found a different kind of satisfaction.
